So now Cecil sends Darkwing and some Reanimen to rescue the captured heroes, after they defeated Doc Seismic, Invincible hits Darkwing and calls him a murderer for what he did in Midnight City in the past.
Cecil teleports in and tells Invincible to stand down, and leave. Eve finds Mark outside, she asks what has gotten into him there and he tells her about the truth of Drakwing. He says he's made a grave mistake and he goes to find Cecil to get some anwsers. Back at the Pentagon, Cecil brings Mark into the white room and Mark asks why he brought him here, and suddenly Mark is ambused by a lot of Reanimen.
After this nothing will be the same between Cecil and Invincible.
This volume was pretty crazy, the tone of shifted immensely over the past few volumes, and this volume was a big turning point for this series.
